Met Council helps enroll thousands of New Yorkers in government programs each year, including Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, Medicaid, PCAP (Prenatal Care Assistance Program) and food stamps. These benefits provide critical assistance to more than 50,000 New Yorkers of all ages and backgrounds. Met Council enrollers speak 12 languages, work evening and weekend hours and are located throughout the boroughs. This ensures that even working individuals or those with language barriers can enroll in these benefits if they are eligible.
